Ayay

Ayay knows what a phone costs in Ukraine

Not roughly, not by eye. A median of live listings, the number of listings behind it, and the day it was computed.

651 configurations · 2 categories · updated 22.09

Named after the aye-aye — the lemur that taps a branch with one long finger, listens to the echo and pulls out what is hidden inside. That is roughly our job, with a market instead of a branch.

What this is

The same numbers this site shows on its own pages, handed to a machine. Two doors: MCP for an assistant, plain HTTP for someone else's program. Free, no keys and no sign-up; the IMEI check is the one endpoint with a rate limit.

Every configuration has its own price. «iPhone 13» is not one number: 128 GB and 256 GB differ, used and new differ far more. Ayay answers about a configuration, not a model, and shows how many listings the answer rests on. Where a configuration was never measured, he says he does not know.

How the price is computed

Is Ayay an artificial intelligence

Is Ayay an artificial intelligence?

No. Ayay is not a language model and invents nothing. He reports a median computed from live listings, how many listings it came from, and the day it was computed. Where a configuration was never measured he says he does not know, instead of naming a plausible number.

Then why does he live inside AI assistants?

Because this is the data an assistant lacks. Ayay supplies it: the price of a configuration and the day it was computed. The assistant reasons; the numbers are ours.

Where do the prices come from?

From live listings on the open market over the last 14 days. It is a median, not an average: one odd listing moves an average and leaves a median where it was.

Is this the same price a shop charges?

No, and the two must not be mixed. In a shop «new» means a sealed device with a warranty, which is a different market. We measure what sellers ask on the open market.

What does access cost?

Nothing. The same numbers sit on the site's own pages and are free to read: there are no keys and no sign-up.
